Our family workshops are designed to inspire wonder and curiosity in family members of all ages, from 3 to 83! Family workshop itineraries combine plenty of hands-on exploration, arts and crafts or microscope time, and opportunities to work out any extra energy.
Family workshop participants are housed in cabins 4 or 5, with each family being assigned a private room and sharing a full bathroom with one other family. Workshop fees include lodging and meals in our fabulous kitchen. Workshop participants will also have access to a small fridge in the cabin.
Workshops begin at the Opal Creek trailhead at 10 AM. Instructors and participants hike 3 miles into Jawbone Flats at a leisurely pace. All luggage and gear is driven in on our gear shuttle. Participants will need to bring a lunch for the hike in. Upon registration, participants will receive by email pre-trip packets with packing lists, itineraries, and camp policies.
