All workshops are professionally taught and the price includes shared lodging plus meals from our fabulous kitchen.
Adult workshops range in topics from wilderness medicine to yoga to mushroom foraging. Family workshops are designed as an opportunity for visitors of all ages to enjoy the ancient forest together. Each workshop focuses on a specific niche of the ancient forest and includes fun, hands-on activities that everyone can enjoy.
For those more interested in getting your hands dirty, our Volunteer Stewardship Weekends offer those 18 and older a more active way to get involved at Opal Creek.
The nitty gritty
All workshop fees include instruction, meals, and shared lodging in our lodge, bunkhouse, or cabins (varies by workshop–all workshop participants will need to bring sleeping bags). Workshops begin at the Opal Creek trailhead at either 10 AM or 5 PM (varies by workshop). Workshop instructors and participants hike 3 miles into Jawbone Flats. All luggage and gear is driven in on our gear shuttle; 10 AM workshop participants will need to bring a lunch for the hike in. Upon registration, participants will receive by email pre-trip packets with packing lists, itineraries, and camp policies.
