Never before has our children’s relationship with nature been so at risk, and so important for the future of our region. Thanks to you, over 1,400 students this year will have educational experiences in wilderness that will lead to a lifetime of conservation and a love of wild places.

Monthly Giving – the Pelton Program

By joining the Pelton Program, your monthly gift sustains Opal Creek Ancient Forest Center year-round, even during the off-season when Jawbone Flats is closed but we’re still hard at work getting ready for the programs you love. Your gift through the Pelton Program entitles you to all the same membership benefits as a one-time annual donation.

In-kind Giving

In-kind donations are fully tax-deductible and can meet some of our most urgent needs. We are currently looking for:

  • twin or queen mattresses and 3-4” full or queen futon mattresses (in good condition)
  • kitchenware for our cabins and dining room – unchipped dinner plates, soup bowls, stovetop tea kettles, and trash cans
  • a commercial-size dehydrator for preparing snacks for outdoor school students and Expeditions campers
  • playing card decks
  • linens for our cabins and dormitories in good condition – twin and queen fitted sheets, standard pillow cases, hand towels
  • shower curtains
  • vacuums in good working order
  • floor coverings—bathmats, door mats, area rugs
  • furniture—8-person dining table sets, love seats in good condition
  • 4WD trucks or SUVs – did you know that donating a vehicle to a non-profit that will make full use of the vehicle entitles you to a deduction of its full fair market value?

Please contact Gabrielle Haber with any in-kind donation offers so we can arrange for pick-up or drop-off.
