We have exciting ways you can get more Opal Creek in your life, both in Portland and in the forest! We hope to see you at one of these events coming up in the next couple months.
Business Donation Days
If you need an excuse to enjoy a night out on the town, we’ve got a great one–in fact, we’ve got two! Donation days are an amazing way for you to have a great time, patronize local businesses in your community, and support a good cause all at the same time. This spring we’ve made connections with two generous local businesses to support our outdoor school tuition subsidy program:
- On Wednesday, April 5, Pacific Pie Company will be donating a portion of the day’s proceeds
- On Tuesday, April 18, McMenamin’s White Eagle Saloon will be donating 50% of their proceeds from 5pm to close
The Opal Creek party of the year is almost upon us! On Friday, May 17, we hope you’ll join us for an evening of raising funds and making friends at the new Lagunitas Community Room in NE Portland! With live music, hot food, cold beer, a photo contest, and silent auction, there will be no shortage of things to keep you entertained while supporting outdoor school in the Opal Creek Wilderness! Check out the full details and buy your tickets here.
Jawbone Flats in the Springtime
If you haven’t visited Opal Creek in the spring, you’re missing one of the most magical times of year! The forest is lush with rain and greenery, colorful wildflowers and lichen peek out from around every corner, and perhaps the best thing of all–the summer crowds haven’t arrived yet. We have cabins available almost every weekday through mid-June. Take advantage of our low shoulder season pricing for a forest getaway to recharge your spirit!
Looking for a little more action? Check out our workshop calendar! Weekend workshop opportunities range from yoga and painting to lichens and amphibians, and are a wonderful full-service way to experience Opal Creek.
