The following are available to the public, private groups, and/or school groups:

LODGE
The rustic Lodge, built in 1974, has three floors, a large stone fireplace, resource library, and large deck for outdoor entertaining. It sleeps 21 children or 14 adults in a combination of shared bedrooms and private rooms. Equipped with two full bathrooms with showers and hot running water, the Lodge provides all the necessary amenities in a remote, forest setting. Reservations for the Lodge requires a commitment to a group size of at least 12 people, and includes meals prepared by Opal Creek cooking staff. $65 person/night, 12 person minimum. Includes gear shuttle, interpretive hike, Opal Creek slide show and three meals per full-day stay.


BUNKHOUSE
The Bunkhouse was the original cookhouse for the miners of yesteryear. It has seven sets of bunk beds and a fold-out double bed to allow for 16 people, has one bathroom with a composting toilet, running water, but no bathing facilities. This building can be rented individually, however is usually used as overflow for groups larger than the Lodge can accommodate. Please call our office for pricing info.


CABIN 1

Originally the main office for Shiny Rock Mining Company (built in 1928), Cabin 1 is a rustic, one bedroom cabin situated on Battle Axe Creek, with full view of Battle Axe Falls. This cabin sleeps two comfortably in a king size bed, with a futon in the living area to provide for extra sleeping room. Equipped with full bathroom with tub and shower, hot running water, full kitchen, fireplace and a deck with spectacular views. $100 per night, includes gear shuttle.

CABINS 4 and 5
These are our newest cabins, rebuilt after the fire in Jawbone Flats in 1998, using wood that was horse-logged and milled on-site. You'll find beautiful woodwork, a back deck overlooking the Little North Santiam River, four large bedrooms, full kitchen and two full baths with showers. These cabins are handicap accessible. Each sleeps up to sixteen. $300 per night, includes gear shuttle..

CABIN 7
An original miner's cabin built in the 1920's, Cabin 7 is a mid-size, rustic two bedroom cabin with loft. Sleeps up to ten in a combination of shared and private bedrooms. This cabin has a living area, full kitchen and bathroom with shower and hot running water, and a woodstove. $150 per night, includes gear shuttle.
