Nature Digital Photography: Advanced Section September 29-30, 2007 Cost: $200/adult |
|
Come join award winning nature photographer, Jeff Jessing, for an informative and inspirational weekend of advanced digital photography. This intensive and exciting field workshop will focus on advanced topics in nature photography on both technical and artistic elements. Participants can expect to learn advanced techniques in such topics as extending depth of field, determining optimal exposure, maximizing dynamic range, focusing, and understanding basic limitations for a giving scene. On the artistic side we will be exploring alternative ways to visualize shots and working with the lighting conditions for a particular time/location. While exploring the wonderful landscape found at Opal Creek, we will be maximizing our shooting time during daylight hours from dawn to dusk. Evening programs on digital workflow will be given. At a minimum, participants should bring a digital SLR, lenses (wide to telephoto), a circular polarizer, memory cards, batteries, a sturdy tripod (this is very important), a card reader, and a laptop computer with editing software such as Adobe Photoshop. Useful, but optional, equipment would be neutral density filters, graduated neutral density filters (rectangular type, 2 and 3 stop hard/soft edged), and a cable release. Electricity is available for computers and recharging batteries. Dr. Jessing's work can be seen at: www.naturerevealed.com. |
